I am spending the nights with tuning the programm for ATMEGA168 and MAX/MSP. It must be very strange view from the sleeping street of the block of flats to my blinking window... Actually I have little tech problem with interferencing PWM rate 490Hz with the stepper rate cca 500Hz. The leds are pulsating. I want to make it smooth. Now I will try to fasten the PWM cycles - but it means the changing of the ATMEGA168 registers and for me its totally new thing...

It SHINES! But it was hard job to program it. The sync pulse from 0-1000Hz on ATMEGA168 driven by MAX/MSP and also synced PWM fading for each row of matrix. The comunication on RS-232 is working. Uf! The basic system is almost ready!

Jirik finished the work on LED matrix that will be the basic light unit driven by MAX/MSP. Nice work - he learned how to do it quite well. Now I look forward for programming!

I am painter-amateur, but I very like the thick black layers. The profiman will never do it. The flahs - and we have picture of the black lake...

I lay on the color. Its wonderfull work instead of mental work behing the computer. I like the change.

The cabinet-maker Pepa finished the plates for the subwoofer building. I am going to paint it.

With Jirik we watch the walls and think where to put all the lights and speakers. Tha walls are very warped so it wont be problem.

I took my mini sound-system with myself and listen the impression of different sounds and motifs. Its very different than normally. The perception of enviroment and sound is very close connected. This the practical sound-art research. But I must play very silent and just for a while - the bats are falling to winter sleep. The bats are magic animals of the cave - and of course protected... I sleep in the cave and breath the atmosphere. The cavemen are working the whole night. Its like in sci-fi : the helmet, lights, cables, the stream of water, old school telephones, rock...

The cave is very nice warped and distorted. Totally amorphous. The sound diffusion will be bonne bouche.

I scan the light in th holes. It makes wonderfull shadows and difuse. But the green color is unusefull here!

I tested the intensity of the lighst in the cave enviroment. I was very surprised how little is already enough.

The cavemen have always lot of work.
